Addition of WMS layers secured via basic authentication

In addition to adding WMS layers that are openly available with no authentication, you can now load a WMS layer with basic authentication, e.g., a set of your own orthophotos sitting on a secure server. In the Create your Validation Exercise in the Layer Configuration box, you can now add an External Web Map Service that is secured via basic authentication (i.e., accessible with a username and password) as either a base layer or an overlay as shown in Figure 23.
